Wintershall Noordzee B.V. based in Rijswijk, the Netherlands, was established in 1965. One of the largest producers of natural gas in the Netherlands, Wintershall operates a total of 26 offshore installations in the North Sea, one of our traditional core regions. To ensure the efficiency of our operations, we control 17 of these Dutch platforms and one in Germany, as well as the Wingate platform in the UK, from the Wintershall central control room in Den Helder, the Netherlands, with a cutting-edge radio surveillance and control system.
Kassel. Wintershall made a profit of more than 1 billion euros in 2015 for the fifth year in a row – despite the challenging economic environment. Earnings after taxes and minority interests totaled 1.050 billion euros (2014: 1.464).

The holding consists of five subsidiary companies, is 50% shareholder in Wintershall Noordzee B.V. and Wintershall Services B.V., and is sole shareholder in Wintershall Transport & Trading B.V., Wintershall Global Support B.V. and Wintershall Petroleum B.V., all located in Rijswijk. Wintershall Noordzee B.V. and Wintershall Services B.V. are active in the exploration and production of oil and gas in the Dutch, Danish and English sectors of the North Sea.
