Our HSE performance plays an essential role in our competitiveness. Good HSE performance secures our reputation as a reliable operator and partner. It also contributes to our company objectives of sustainable growth and operational excellence.
To achieve this, HSE forms an integral part in all our activities. Wintershall Noordzee has developed a long-term HSE strategy setting the standard for all our operations. Everyone within the company, ranging from senior management to each individual employee, has a responsibility to commit and contribute to this strategy. The HSE professionals within our company will continue to set the standards and work with colleagues, authorities and other stakeholders to ensure the right focus. It is our opinion that the key to excellent performance is ownership and commitment to HSE from all of us.
Our Vision We prevent harm to people, the environment, our assets and reputation by controlling our barriers and promoting a strong HSE culture.

Our vision as stated above is always our focus. It is also a direct reference to our commitment for continuous improvement. We identify and reinforce good practices and implement measures to prevent recurrence of substandard processes and results. By working together internally as a team, by joining efforts with peers in the industry and by sharing experience, knowledge and knowhow, we aim to be best-in-class when it comes to safety performance.

Environmental protection & sustainability
Protecting the environment is at the heart of our business. That is why we are committed to minimizing environmental impact and optimizing our energy efficiency in all our operations and to act socially responsible every step of the way. To achieve this, we have implemented ISO standards, we monitor and track our impact, and manage our health, safety and environmental systems according to the plan-do-check-act cycle. Furthermore, we employ different tools including risk analysis, monitoring programs, reviews and audits, as well as evaluations and surveys. As technology advances and new insights are gained, we will adapt our way of working to improve even further on our sustainability footprint.
Ethics & Compliance
Wintershall Noordzee is committed to acting in ways consistent with what society and individuals consider good values. To avoid any misbehavior, they must follow the Compliance Program meant to safeguard their continuous attention to and awareness of our company values, as well as their compliance with the law in their daily work.
